Sally Cook was born in Leavenworth and grew up on 133 acre farm on Tonganoxie Road. She inherited musical gifts from both sides of family and received music training and exposure to good literature from birth. Sally first performed in public at the age of seven.
Sally earned her Bachelor of Music Education + 35 – K-12 Vocal and Instrumental, with a Minor in Voice, from the University of Kansas. Sally taught in both public and parochial schools, vocal and instrumental music 17 years. Sally has taught private lessons – primarily piano and voice approximately 30 years. She has also taught beginning organ and beginning school band instruments. Sally performs on organ and piano, has directed church choirs and plays and sings for weddings, funerals, and memorial services.
