Judy Rounda began piano lessons at age 8 with Mrs. Doris Lee Frost in Leavenworth, and through high school taught piano lessons as Mrs. Frost's "student teacher." At the University of Kansas, Judy studied piano performance with Dr. Jack Winerock, then earned her Bachelor's degree in mathematics and Spanish from KU. Judy studied voice privately with Kimberley Bollinger, Ida Nicolosi, and Dr. Elizabeth Schellman. Judy was awarded a Berklee Online Celebrity Scholarship, the Matt Marvuglio Scholarship, while earning Berklee Online Professional and Advanced Professional Certificates in Voice Technique and Musicianship and General Music Studies. She will complete her Masters in Music Education from Kansas State University in 2023. For twenty years, students and colleagues have called her "Mrs. R," as she accompanied six choirs at Leavenworth High School. She also played the piano for numerous ensembles, vocal and instrumental soloists, and musical theater productions. In addition, Judy has served as a church organist during this time, and has sung in various choirs, including church choirs and cantatas, Lawrence Motet Singers, Kaw Valley Community Choir, and St. Mary's Community Choir. Starting in 2023, her music educator
role includes teaching as a private piano and voice teacher at The Tune Shop in Leavenworth.
