Lynnette was born in Platte City, MO and has lived in this area her whole life. As a child, her grandfather bought her a pony that became mean. So he sold the pony and bought her a piano. Lynnette grew up with a cousin who was a piano teacher and encouraged her to pursue music. She credits this cousin for influencing her musical study and career direction. Lynnette studied music at St. Mary University on an Honor’s Scholarship. She made the deans list six semesters and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
She began her teaching career in 1990, teaching private piano lessons at the Harrold Youth Center. In 1992, Lynnette joined the teaching staff of the Tune Shop where she excels in motivating young musicians to organize their practice time and set goals to succeed in music. With her gentle but encouraging teaching style, Lynnette influences her students to love learning music for a lifetime.
