John Pearce started teaching guitar and bass while still in high school. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Teachers College where he studied Music Education. He began his professional career in 1972, performing a variety of music styles including Blues, Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll Jazz and Country. John has been fronting his current trio “Just Us” for the last five years.
John’s teaching style emphasizes standard music notation and sight reading. John believes these skills enable students to better understand practical music theory and chord voicing. Armed with these skills, students are able to play any music style that is required. John enjoys teaching music students to be musicians.
