Heather Brown

Heather BrownfullHeather Brown has been teaching private clarinet and saxophone lessons for 9 years in northeast Kansas. Native to Topeka, KS, she attended Washburn University and the University of Kansas, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.

Always busy during her summer vacations, she has been affiliated with Helen Hocker Theatre, Topeka Civic Theatre, Lawrence Arts Center, Manning Music, Hume Music, Worlds of Fun Amusement Park, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan. Shortly after graduation, she hit the road with the North American tour of Broadway’s “42nd Street” playing reeds in the pit orchestra.

After living out of a suitcase for 9 months, she settled down in Lawrence, KS where she currently resides with her golden retriever, Charlie, and teaches band in the Tonganoxie School District. She can be found performing keyboard with the 80’s & 90’s cover band, “Under Cover”.
